    Surf Switch Remote control

Any one having problems with the surf switch remote control. I tried to use it for the first time and it work when I was inside the boat testing it but it not when o got in the water. After i came out i put it next to my phone and noticed liquid coming out. I noticed the side had a gap. Took some pictures (Attached) I guess at this point i can only assume that it didn't work because it got wet inside. I tried to see if it was due to loos screws but the screws are tight. it looks like a flaw but i don't see anybody else commenting on this.

    Any input?

Call dealer and ask them to get you a new one . You just purchased your boat so it should not be a problem and covered under warranty
The seal should have kept the water out although your did not.

I've had the exact same thing happen to me. I caught mine early and was able to clean it out and get it dried the first time. Second time not so lucky. I think I was quoted $125 for a new one. I was told the warranty would cover it but it will take some time to get the new one

NPerdue can not benefit but Gonzaga can. Although I have a surf select , I have never used it. The Pebble watch is much easier to use if you have that added feature. If you have that feature, I would get a new surf select under warranty, then place it on the shelf never to use again. Start using the Pebble watch instead.

Thanks GML. Any chance you can tell me the model of Pebble watch you are using? I have heard that not all of them work. Let me know.

I have 2 Pebble Time models and 1 Pebble 2. Both work but I prefer the Pebble Time better because the graphics are easier to read behind the boat.. Buy at least 2 because 1 will end up on the bottom of the lake. You should be able to buy on eBay for between 50-70 dollars each . Hope this helps.

I had the same issues with my surf select remotes. Currently waiting for a replacement on for my second one I got under warranty. That one came pretty quick. Having issues getting the dealer to respond this time...

Wow 4! Nautique must be shipping a stack of them everyday. I am going to use West System to seal my next one when it arrives. Dealer hasn't heard from Nautique on my request for a new one. They are behind due to the Hurricane shut down.

I have gone through two... I need to ask the dealer for another...

I use my Pebble which works great once you get it set-up...but would like to have the remote as back-up. My experience thus far with the remote has been miserable to say the least. Both failed first time of use. Love the Pebble.

I used the switch once and then went to the Pebble. That was it. Finally took the switch out of the boat and put it in the bag with the paperwork. The Pebble offers MUCH more functionality.

I have read that you need to downgrade the pebble time firmware in order for it to work. Just got the watch and it has V4.3 firmware. Did you need to downgrade yours for it to work? And if so, how? I can only find online downgrades from V3 and those don't work. Thx

Not on a 2017 year-model boat. On the 2017 you can run latest-and-greatest. Let it upgrade to the latest firmware and install the latest version of the NSS app. Then all you have do is pair it with the LINC.

I like it so much I bought 4 Pebble Classics figuring we'd drop one in the lake or something. So far, I'm still on the first....
