I have a 2006 SV211 and the Oil Gauge is not working. I was told by my mechanic that the gateway in these boats are problematic and he feels this might be the issue. However all other gauges work just fine. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

Yes, find a new mechanic, lol. Not sure I would say they are problematic however they are a problem to find and expensive
Has he checked sending unit and the gauge and all the plugs into the gateway?? -
If the only thing not reading is the oil pressure gauge, it may just be the gauge.

Basically, you need to check the resistance at the gauge itself, and then you can determine if it's the sending unit. In my opinion, if your gateway box was going bad, you'd have more than just a faulty oil pressure gauge.
Not saying that the gateway boxes aren't problematic, but i wouldn't start there.Comment
