    Tightening up bow eye hook

Does anyone know how to tighten up the front bow eye hook shown in the attached picture? I have a 1994 Correct Craft Sport. The eye hook is loose.

I'm pretty sure you'd have to remove the center bow seat back and that should reveal an access hole to tighten the nut on the eye hook.
And the seat back should be fastened with those push/pull tree fasteners

Thanks, I will take your advice this weekend!!! I attempted to budge the seats with no luck a few weeks ago but will try again now that the boat is out of the water.

That cushion probably isn't attached with christmas tree fasteners, It's probably either slid down over a metal bracket and/or bolted through the back. You should be able to remove the bottom cushion and reach behind the seat back to feel for what kind of fasteners are used. Then you can get to the lifting eye.

I'm not sure what year they started using the xmas tree fasteners for vinyl, maybe someone else can chime in. Mike is correct and you should be able to lift the seat bottom up front and at least look up there with a flashlight and mirror to see what's holding that seat back on or maybe reach the eye hook from under there too to tighten it. Good luck and for reference my 06 seat backs had trees on the bottom that had to be pulled out then if lifted up over these metal brackets to remove.

You can just put a long handle through the eye and turn clock-wise to tighten it. It's not just bolted to the top deck, it goes through and anchors into the hull.

Be careful tightening though, they're not supposed to be real tight down to the deck, otherwise you can crack your gel-coat.
