Back seat removal and Upholster Help.

My Friend dropped a wakeboard on the top of my backseat this morning and cut the vinyl. First how do I remove the backseat (back rest) on a 2000 Sport Nautique, and second has anybody had any success getting the vinyl repaired? I know WCCC recommends Colors on Parade. http://www.colorssacramento.com/California/index.htm Or the other suggestion was to have an upholstery shop cut the section out and replace the vinyl.

    Thanks

RE: Back seat removal and Upholster Help.

On my Pro Air -00 you simply lift the backrest upwards.
But you might need to remove the seat(s) first.

RE: Back seat removal and Upholster Help.

        Just wanted to update.
I called colors on parade and just had a feeling they did not really know what the were doing. So I called WCCC and asked if they still use them to do there repairs. WCCC now uses Randy who owns Malsom(Former COP employee). Here is the number (916-302-7373) I would highly recommend him for any body living in Northern California. Did a great job at a fair price.
I also checked with primal to get some seat cover for my boat; however they do not make them for the sport yet. The guy selling them seems like a good guy. Has any one from PN order these?

          Hi, All!

This is Tom Parks, formerly of the Sacramento area. I can confirm that Colors on Parade (COP) is out of business, bankrupt, kaput! Serves them right, the dirty scoundrels!!!

Randy Goodwin, former COP employee, has had his own business for about 18 months or so. Go, Randy! Randy was the best technician COP had. In fact, he is one of the top leather men in the USA.

His company is MASLOM, Inc. (not what you said, Hlymons, but you were close.) His number is (916) 302-7373. He is based in Citrus Heights.

I strongly recommend Randy. He does fantastic work at fair prices. He is tops in his field, and scrupulously honest. My experience with Randy was a real delight.

In this age of don't-give-a-darn attitudes and shoddy workmanship, it gives me great pleasure to be able to wholeheartedly recommend a True Craftsman such as Randy.

          Tom Parks

PS: Be sure to ask him how he got the name MASLOM.
