    overheating and limp mode

at what temp does the computer put the boat into limp mode? my 06 210 got to 200 today, and thanks to an alert driver, we caught it and shut it off. the strainer was plugged and there was water getting through, just not enough under load. the water level at our river was abnormally high today and there was alot of debris in the water, washed in from the shore, so this was the cause. we cleaned the strainer and things ran normal, but if the driver was not paying attention, we would have been cooked. so what is the temp the the ecm is supposed to kill things? how can i tell if mine is defective?

your alarm should have been going off in your tach display. It should beep and flash "engine hot" or something to that effect.

i looked in the manual to no avail, and the alarms are working, at least for low fuel (very annoying) and for low oil when you first shut the engine off. the dealer said 210 degrees or so, and we killed it just before that, but i am still wondering and wanting more specific info.
