Fix or replace Belly tank

The belly tank for my 2014 210 has a leak. I'll get a better look at the leak this winter when I can remove and inspect. I'll have to remove the gas tank to gain access, has anyone had experience doing this?

I'm trying to decide the best way to take care of this issue. Wakemakers had a universal fit bag that will be close to the same dimensions. I have a couple of fears going this route, 1st I'm afraid the bag may move around too much when not filled. I haven't seen the space yet but I assume where the belly tank is located on a 2014 is a lot differnt space the an actually ski locker on older models. The other issue is the bag collapsing when draining as and not allow my piggybacked bow sac to drain.

It's hard for me to just buy a new hard tank to replace the old when since the old one failed. Doesn't make sense in my mind to just hope that a new tank won't fail as well.

I also could just save money and try a repair. Maybe Flex seal or another product. Any suggestions on how to repair the leak?

Is your boat still under warranty? I would let the dealer handle this if so. If not...

I think there is another post on here where someone had a 210/230 belly tank spring a leak. IIRC they tried several products to patch and they were unsuccessful since the sealants would not adhere to the tank material. My recommendation would be to not mess with pulling the floor and gas tank. Thats a lot of work. I would take a dremel and cut the tank into pieces that can be removed. I would then replace with a bag.

I wouldn't worry about your bow bag not draining as long as it is vented with an overflow outlet. Many people piggyback sacs on the G underfloor sacs with no drainage problem.

It is under warranty but Nautique denied the claim with no explanation... real helpful. Dealer said they may need actual pictures of the defect, however it’s impossible to without pulling the tank. I submitted a video with the pumps on and my phone shoved in a little spot that you could see the leak shooting up. I will resubmit when the tank is pulled but I do not have a lot of faith in getting this covered.

Unfortunately with 2014+ the belly tank is near impossible to get to. Even with a Dremel you’d have to remove the fuel tank

If Nautique doesn't end up covering it, I would try this product. I used this on the plastic radiator in my wife's Jeep, and it sealed up the crack easily. It consists of a piece of fiberglass, and a two-part epoxy that goes under and over the fiberglass. It takes about 30 minutes to cure. The radiator repair has held up well, and I would think that would have more stress on it than a ballast tank would.

FWIW, I had a leak in my belly tank on a 2008 210. It was replaced by the dealer under warranty. Press Nautique directly for an explanation--seems like a leak should be covered unless there are circumstances that make them think you caused the damage. It's a big job because the fuel tank has to come out.

is the 2014 210 belly tank hard plastic or a bag?
I see the one for a 2017 210 is a hard plastic tank. I imagine the '14 is the same since the redesign was done in '14?
