    Which RV Antifreeze?

In the past I've always just drained the water out of the engine when I winterize. I think this year I will drain the water and then draw RV antifreeze into the engine mostly for corrosion protection.

I've read some reviews on the net where people have said that the -50* pink AF has failed below +10*F. I did some research and found that there are some blue RV AFs that are rated at -100 and -200*.

So what is everyone using, the pink -50 or the blue -200* AF?

It seems to me that a dry block or a wet block with the blue -200* AF would be better than using the -50 AF if temps drop down to the single digits.

The -50 stuff causes more corrosion than water, I no longer use it for that reason. -75, -100 antifreeze or vehicle antifreeze is the way to go.

I use automotive green antifreeze in my boats . Up north 50/50 mix giving a -32F freeze point . Here in Ga I mix 30/70 giving a 0 to +10 freeze point. All my boats are stored inside buildings. If you use the green antifreeze make sure you put a catch bucket under the exhaust and run it in the spring . DON'T put it in the lake.

How do you dispose of the green AF when you flush it out in the spring?

There are disposal sites I keep most of it for next year . Our winters here are only 2 months long so the anti freeze coming out is still good. Just have to top it off with a little new next year.
