    Walmart RV antifreeze in engine?

So, only kinda freaking out. Boat is in storage with the Walmart RV antifreeze in it. Storage is unheated. Might see -10f here in Vermont. Today I'm at my local Walmart and look again at the product. While it says RV/boat, the fine print says "not for use in engines" or Marine engines. Can't remember which.

    Should I be worried?

When they say "not for use in engines" they're most likely referring to using it in a closed-loop radiator/heat exchanger. That's not what you're doing. It's simply sitting there keeping your block and heater core from freezing.

"Due to its slightly lower cost, some boaters prefer to use our Seafit brand -50°F Marine and RV Water System Antifreeze, which is a propylene glycol/alcohol blend. This is fine for potable water and sanitation systems, but is not recommended for winter engine storage, since some of the alcohol can evaporate, resulting in reduced protection towards the end of winter layup."

This is on the West Marine site. If I were you I'd do some more research

I had to use the same type as you because the glycol based wasn’t available locally. I wouldn’t be too concerned about evaporation with it being sealed but it will dry out hoses and seals. Next year I will plan better.
