At some point I know I will have to replace my block.....any suggestions or comments?

I have a boat that was winterized poorly 10 years ago. Cracked block.......welded and bonded.....has held the compression and has worked fine for 10 years. I now own the boat and want to get a idea as to what it might cost to replace this bock or complete engine. Any thoughts....just planning ahead.

After 10 years I don't think I would loose much sleep over it. Probably not a bad idea to save up some money "just in case."

As for the question, I do not have an estimate on cost but I would consider a new or used short block rather than a rebuild. But then again, nothing wrong with a rebuild.

Agreed. If it's held strong for 10 years, you're good to go. If that was going to kill it, it would have long ago.

Thank you guys....I feel a little better about this now......I got a discount on the purchase with the idea it might get replaced or re-built. I guess I will see what happens:
