I own a 2002 SANTE. Last run of the season I experienced a loss of power when applying throttle. Starts fine. Idles fine. Runs fine when engaged at slow speed. When throttling down to go faster the boat starts vibrating and i lose speed. Note that the engine never shuts off. If I shutdown and restart everything seems to be running fine again until I try to throttle down. I am thinking a fuel pump issue but wanted to see if anyone had other thoughts. Thanks.

What engine?
Could be lots of things but I'd start with Fuel.
Get a fuel pressure tester, test fuel at the rail under pressure.
If you haven't replaced your cap rotor and wires in a while, now may be a good time for a tuneup.

I am currently having same issue with an air Nautique I just bought. Same year and same engine. Idle fine, cruise fine but under load, ie, heaven acceleration or trying to accelerate from cruise to top speed.. missing and loss of power. My auto sparky thinks replace coil. Will try and let you know.
Any update on your progress?

I had a similar problem in my SNOB 200, turned out to be the fuel filter.

I was thinking same thing. Fuel filter or tank screen or low pressure pump inlet screen. In short, something that limits fuel flow.Originally posted by DealsGapCobra View PostComment

Replace FCC. Check all fluids. Listen for fuel pump when ignition is turned on.
