Template for Sea Dek for 2003 210 SANTE......exposed flooring only

Two things I have questions with on my re-hab:
1. Does anyone have a idea of cost to sea dek the exposed areas only on a 2003 210sante
2. Does anyone or has anyone seen a pre-made or templet for this year? (I have ordered the 210 set for $169 etc on the naut site to see if it will work.)

People might have seen my previous posts this month on the rehab.........now that i have everything stripped.....I was going to convert.....but still waiting the options. Thank you everyone for your time.

I cant wait to do this! Sadly it is a year or 2 off for me. In my research I have not found a 2003 kit, but it also seems that the best way to do it is to take the time and create a template. Do to a lot of hand made aspects to each boat, no boat is really the same and I wouldn't trust a "typical" pre-made kit. That, and each person fixes their floor hatches a little different. In my opinion I would put your gel coat, or whatever finish you decide, down and then template it. Just my amateur 2 cents.

If you go with GatorStep, they might have my 03 template on file from last year. I had two problems with my install both my fault. 1.) Drivers side has a small gap in front of the drivers seat so, there is exposed flooring, luckily I gelcoated the area so, it looks okay. 2.) on the passenger side I needed to shift the whole thing down about 2" to cover the rear most inside corner. I was okay with that as well because I bought generic foam material (Alibaba).
So at a minimum you could have them send you paper templates and work from there.

I wonder if you call SC Wake (seadek authorized dealer) they may have a few templates already done. I have no personal experience, but I have heard that contacting seadek directly can be a little difficult, so maybe using a authorized dealer you may have more luck with the "customer service" side. Just seems like I remember a few posts that stated working directly with seadek can be a little difficult.

I would recommend looking at aqua marine deck too. I've heard really good things.

You are a DIY guy....why don't you order the SeaDeck Material, cut to size and install it yourself? I have seen a couple projects on wakegarage that turned out pretty sweet. One guy ordered from this place (http://www.marinedeckfactory.com/) and got more than enough for entire boat for under $500. He made the templates and then to make the edges look right he clamped the decking to a piece of plywood and used a router. This may be in my future. Only comment he made that was bad that I remember....was on the design that is "diamonds", did not hold up as well cause if you scuffed it hard with a toe a few times, it could separate. Think he said it happened in one spot but other than that it held up really well. Anyway, its an option

So I have had discussions with numerous people. I am going to re-carpet the boat back to the original look. I appreciate all the comments.....the game changer ended up being the floor prep for the gel coat so the Sea Dek or Gator whatever would look nice. After I go into replacing the coosa board etc...trying to square off edges with fiberglas.....re-sanding etc.........This was going to add about $2000 plus to my overall cost of the boat. Its about $2000 over what I think the boat is worth......and for what I have into it and considering it will have price tag on it in the spring......I had to make the choice and go with carpet. I have however ordered......the teak grey skids to re-do my platform skids.....and my wife wants to put the grey teak skids on the step in areas of the hull. So thats the plan......not as happy about the choice......but I believe a smart decision. I will post pics of the process if people want. Otherwise....look for a clean 2003 210 SANTE for sale next spring. I do think the new carpet, all new skins, and new decals and polished up hull.....will bring the life back to this sweet boat. i would say you made a wise decision ... all the gaps, surface prep, cost, etc. has never checked out for the result in my mind. everything in the boat is already carpeted, might as well just match it all up with new. while i like the seadek on the newer boats, i still just don't mind carpet in these. iv'e never really had a problem with it drying either ...

Thank you for the confirmation! Ordered the carpet...going down next week.......at least I will be on the water in the spring. Wasn't sure when i was thinking the other route
