Location of air and water temp sensors on 2005 Sport Nautique

I've got a 2005 Sport Nautique 216 with the Faria gauges. Can anyone tell me where the physical air and water temp sensors are located? Pretty sure they connect to the breakout box at the transom as they are shown in the big combination of speed and digital display gauge. Is there a separate through hull sensor for them? Recently replaced my depth transducer as the depth gauge stopped working, but that didn't fully fix the issue so I'm thinking I have early signs of a bad breakout box. The water temp readings also seem to be really erratic now so want to look at the sensor first.

On my 2003, the water temp sensor is right by the raw water (engine) intake shutoff valve. I could never find the air sensor. My water temp sensor is relatively accurate. The air is not.

I posted many years ago about bad ground connections to the gateway boxes. Check your cables and connectors by your gateway. I'm sure if you search by my name, you will find the post.

Thanks Skidave, I'll take a look there for the water sensor. Based on the known issues with the gateway boxes I pulled the pitot tube lines as soon as I bought the boat a couple years ago, but in light of a couple of new (and fortunately still minor) issues I am pulling the box this week and will open it up and look for any corrosion as per the sticky post on here. I'll also run a new ground as you suggest. I ran a new ground and positive to the main breaker panel last winter and that fixed some significant voltage drops I was seeing on the dash, so I know how a bad ground can cause issues.

Every spring it is my goal to get my water/air temp working correctly in my 06, and it always gets put on the back burner or forgotten about (because it has never been anywhere near close). I don't know if somehow the air and water are swapped but even then they are way off.

Took my gateway box off over the weekend, once I had it loose I could hear something rattling around inside.... not a good sign! Once I had it apart I found no evidence of water intrusion as it looked very clean, no corrosion etc, however one of the electronic components had fallen off the board, so that was the source of the rattling. I'm no electronics engineer so I can only guess this is a capacitor.... fortunately it was pretty easy to tell where it belonged and it was pretty easy to solder and glue back in place, so I'm hoping this was what the cause of the malfunctioning depth gauge was. Won't really know until spring until I can water test. I put the box back together and resealed it, so will install it at some point this week. Couple pics attached.
