Looking pics and advice on converting engine bay cover to seadeck on 2004 210

I've been going trough a ton of articles and not really finding what I'm looking for I'm sure someone has already ask but I can't find so throwing this out there for help. I have a 2004 air 210 the upholstery on the engine cover bay is starting to crack from everyone walking in and out so instead of having recovered thinking about putting seadeck on the center portion in between the 2 storage lockers but I can't find pics anywhere of this being done so..... I'm not sure how that will look but really want the durability of something like seadeck since we are constantly in and out of the boat. Does anyone have pics, links, advise on this thanks

This has been done and documented on an older nautique similar to yours. Keep searching or hopefully someone remembers the post title and can link here.

Check out the Roswell renovated 210. They put A LOT of custom work into their boat but they have the Seadek walk through you are probably thinking of. Not sure they would respond, but it might be worth an email to them to ask what exactly they did to change over the back hatch.

Thanks guys I've emailed Roswell and seadeck on that boat but still kinda shocked its not just laid out step by step like most projects but anyway probably just goin to dive on it and strip padding off and see how it goes. If I don't like it its always a boat Upholstery shop about 45 mins away.

I have my hatch upholstery off right now making some gel
coat repairs to the bottom. Here is a pic of what’s under the upholstery. I think biggest hurtle will be doing something about the solid foam perimeter piece which is screwed into the hatch and holds the upholstery staples.

Thank you!! Have you ever had the foam off? Just walking around on it it feels flat to me but never seen one without the foam

I'd guess it's unfinished fiberglass like the floor in those years.

Here is another Roswell boat that is maybe an easier alternative. Appears they just put SeaDek over upholstery. There are plenty of other pictures of both boats when you follow this link.

Yes it is! I’m getting lots of ideas looking at the gray OG.

here is prior thread concerning this ... second page has sunpad redone with seadek just like you're talking about.

now i remember, they had to thicken it up with a piece of acrylic on top of the fiberglass to smooth out how uneven it is. it got a little pricey at that point if i recall ... might be able to have it gelcoated though, which i would be interested in exploring
