    Dealers and Warrantys??

    Hey Everyone;

    I would just like to hear about some of your experiences with dealers and Waranty issues? Are mose dealers OK easy to work with or (like my experiences in the Car industry) are they weasles and try and do everything they can to NOT work with you and Not get your problem taken care of?? The reason I ask is My 05 SAN has developed a few issues this last week, and the wife says "take it to the dealer, it should still be under waranty." but my thoughts are more along.... (I hate dealing with 'Dealer Types') I'll just get the parts I need and fix it my self (cost out of pocket) let me know what you think, as of right now she aint running, and Green Lake is coming up QUICK!! Thanx in advance.

    RE: Dealers and Warrantys??

    I have worked with 2 dealers in Wisconsin, Watercraft Sales in Three Lakes and Lauderdale Lakes Marina in Lauderdale Lakes, both were great to work with. I recently had my 05 in for warranty work and Lauderdale was excellent despite the fact I did not purchase the boat from them, they fixed every item and were extremely courteous. I would try to contact your dealer ASAP, Lauderdale was pretty backed up when I brought mine in and it took a few weeks to get the work done.

    Good Luck.

      Mine has been great, but if they are minor items I try to handle them myself.

        My dealer has been great, but even if you don't think yours is so great, it might be worth having them do it anyway. Otherwise, if they really aren't nice people, next time something similar goes wrong they might say then its NOT waranty b/c you voided it by working on it yourself, as in "not certified." But that's just being super-precaucious...
