    SeaDek Install Questions

Hey guys, about to install some sea Deck in my 2013 230 and need some guidance from those who have done this before.

    -2013 230
-Floor Only, Replacing Snap In Carpet
-recommendations for filling in exposed snap holes?
-Should I go through seadek direct, or find a dealer?
-ok to install on top of raised grid non slip surface?
-i received a PDF pattern from seadek for 2010 230. Will this be the same for a 2013?
-the dimensions they have on there go beyond the raised non slip grid, so a bit of a lip transition that will be under the edges of the seadek. Does this work ok or does the seadek need to be slightly smaller than the limits of the non slip grid?

    Thanks for the help!

Also, is 6MM the correct t thickness? And what about the screws holding the floor panels? Do you go over them?

-recommendations for filling in exposed snap holes? Leave them. Don’t really matter. Silicone if you feel better about filling them.
-Should I go through seadek direct, or find a dealer? I had awesome success with SC Wake
-ok to install on top of raised grid non slip surface? Yep. Ok

Does this work ok or does the seadek need to be slightly smaller than the limits of the non slip grid? Get pre printed templates. It’s what I got from SC Wake. They print the template they already have in clear plastic and you make and correct small mods for your individual boat. Way easier than doing you own templates and ensures good custom work. Go beyond the non-slip surface to seal the edges down good.

      Thanks for the help!

Sorry. My answers were in that last quote. Also, 6Mm sounds right and trace the template around the screws holding your flooring panels. It’s pretty easy. Good luck!

Thanks, no issues with going over the edge of the non slip??? It's raised considerably on the large center panel.

No issues at all. Just overlap onto the smooth part of that fiberglass so the adhesive makes a good seal to keep out water. Press firmly all over the pad to get a good stick. If you have any air bubbles puncture with a needle and “bleed” the air out

You should get a quote from Aqua Marine Deck. From what I have heard they cost less. I just ordered a template kit from them since I want to add some pads to gunnels, bow and couple other misc areas. I may redo my transom walkway too while I am at it

Ok , may give them a buzz also...already getting help from the seadek guys, so I would have flip on them. Any idea on how much less?

I’m not a fan of that pattern either but there again that is only my opinion
