Engine cover getting unstiched

HI guys,

the corner of my Ski nautique 2001 looks like this (and is getting worse every passing month).

I was thinking about glueying the entire corner, what fo you guys think?

That carpet looks too far gone to save. Carpet it pretty cheap so I'd spend the cash to buy new carpet and replace the entire engine box carpet.

You could also just buy anew piece of carpet for the corner but I think it would look weird.

If you don't have much experience taking it to a upholsterer to do the install may be worth the money.
