Alright, I was with you for a while but no you just flat out make no sense. I have had the boat laid up for 3 weeks during the dead of summer before, it wasn't fun, find something else to do like drive one of your other 4 cars(toys) you seem to like to tell about multiple times, do some housework, visit your grandparents, etc.
Cars are manufactured completely different than boats so your cars on a road and boats on water is total bullsh*t. PLUS, you have another boat.

And your brother should have done a in water test before bringing it home, again, rag on the dealer not CC for that one.
    I don\'t care.

You're getting off topic here. We're talking about problems with a brand new boat that shouldn't have problems. I can do other things, but why would someone buy a boat they can't use? Do you have any common sense other than "Correct Craft rules the world"? You sound just like a dealer now. I tell you what, if it's nothing to you to have a boat tied up for repairs for a lengthy time, send me the amount of money my bro paid for the boat and I'll personally ship the headache to you. It'll be just what you're looking for. I'll be sure to influence dealers to add tags to their boats that estimate the amount of time they spend in the shop/problems they have. Just by reading a few of your posts, you'd prefer the boats that have the most issues.

I am not getting off topic, nobody buys a boat expecting problems but to have a problem is not out of the ordinary and there are not "so many issues". My common sense tells me you are a impatient whiny "i want everything my way now" type of guy. Sure I support CC, that has nothing to do with my values and expectations in a major purchase. I never said going without a boat for a short period was nothing to me, but that is life, deal with it. Where do you come up with I would prefer a boat with problems? NO, but I wouldn't act like my world is crashing in if something of the sort did happen. Step away from whatever you are inhaling. Quit whining, especially to a bunch of people on the internet.

That said I am going to go ahead, be an a$$ and rub a little salt in the wound... I am leaving for the lake soon to enjoy the boat for the weekend and take some passes, you enjoy yours, like you should on your other boat.

Considering I have a boat to bomb around in, the Nautique could be on the trailer for the whole summer and I really could care less. I'm just sticking up for my brother who has to spend yet more money to fix a brand new boat. Oh yeah, that's what warranties are for. But this "warranty" work is costing even more money. 2-hour round trip to drop boat off. 2-hour round trip to pick boat up. Those hours of driving equates to ~$100 in gas expenses, not to mention the time that could be spent elsewhere. That's bull**** if you ask me, and is why I feel the dealer (or CC) should go the extra mile to take care of the problem without forcing my bro to waste his time and money to fix something that wasn't his fault to begin with. I think this situation is a exception to the typical rule dealerships have regarding warranty work.

Enjoy your time this weekend at the lake. Afterall, that's what we're all here for. Hopefully someday my brother will be able to do that with his own boat.

I can't believe that I just read 4 pages of whining! I'm sure that your brother is very proud of you for supporting him through this awfully difficult time  Hopefully the dealer will fix the problems and you can enjoy your brother's boat.

^^^Are you kidding me???

You could careless, but you register on here to bitch and moan? Who is attacking your brother that requires you to 'stick up' for him?

I'm really trying to let this thread go but I just can't help myself here. Most ridiculous thread of the month right here.

mav 7 - in one of my previous posts I said i had experienced a similar issue with the engine, it was a computer issue and they said it had been recalled by CC, they told me if it fails, it will happen during breakin, which it did, they replaced it when i brought it back in, no problem, not exactly what you would like to happen with a brand new boat, but it happened.

                good luck

Wait...send YOU the amount of money your BRO paid for the boat?

Things break, it's not a perfect world. Think of all the stress you're putting yourself through here, maybe boating isn't worth it.

Sorry, no malicious intent....just trying to lighten the mood here.

This forum has turned a little nasty the past month IMO.

Boat is going back in the water tomorrow. Dealer doesn't seem to know exactly what the problem was but we'll see if it's fixed.

Yeah I guess there was a lot of whining in this thread.. but if you knew what happened to my last experience with a sea doo you'd understand. This situation is very similar, depending on the outcome of the 1st trip back from the dealer.

I guess I just have to lower my quality standards for Correct Craft (and most boats in general).

                          My opinion (overseas)

One reason I feel proude of my 2001 SAN is whilst it looks like a new but some other boat (the same age and good brand)) appear obvious problem on the fiberglass and vinyl , the boat body still perfect. I use the boat in sea water.

I didn't read all of the posts so they might have been answered.

The warranty states that it does not cover the trip back to the dealer. That is the owner's responsibilty.

The system does has a low fuel sensor. Are you sure that is the alarm that is going off? It might be your volt sensor. If it goes below 12 volts, you will get a random beep. If it goes below 11, it will alarm you in the bottom of the gauge.

Your dealer should have detailed your boat and corrected the stereo.

I would also like to add that some people expect way too much of the dealer. If your car breaks down (new or used), does your dealer come to you at all hours of the night and day, stay many hours after close and all of that? Some people expectations are a bit out of line. These dealers want to get out and enjoy the water with their familites too. Are they not allowed to?

I know nothing about the boat business, but I think the problem is directly related to the rising stratospheric prices for these boats. It does not seem that the dealers and/or CC are able to provide a level of service equal to the expectations of most of us when we pay up to $70,000. When a buyer plunks down that much dough, the buyer thinks they should be receiving high level luxury automotive type service. For whatever reasons, there then develops a mismatch in expectations of the buyer and the reality of the service provided.
