2018 G23 GoPro Option - Does it work?

My dealer tried to connect my go pro 6 on several boats. Even the latest the firmware from march didn't work. Looks like things only work with the go pro 4.

I'm going to try to find someone with a Hero 6 and see if it will connect to my Link system.

I have tried to connect the Hero 5 and Hero 6 for over 20 times. It connects during the initial configuration but will not reconnect after power off of either the camera or the boat. There must be an incompatibility with the new firmware of the 5/6 cameras. I think I might buy an older Hero 4.

Hero 6, finds the camera on 2.4 but will not connect. Super frustrated and actually pissed off as it is marketed all over the place

There's a support bulletin from Nautique on this. Someone posted it on the Nautique Owners FB page. Basically:

These work:

- Hero Black, Hero 4 Silver, Hero Session, Hero 5, Hero 5 Session.

Do not work:

- Hero 6

Got the hero 6 for Christmas as the new boat was on order. Frustrating... then bought the hero 5, total waste of money as it does not stay hooked up either. Super sad design Nautique, I expected way more from there advertising....
