    Fresh Air Exhaust Install Question

I have a 2007 236 and I just got my Fresh Air Exhaust and the mounting instructions state that the supports connect to the swim platform bracket (the horizontal bracket underneath the swim platform not the vertical bracket that the swim platform slides on to). See first picture.

I have a lot of movement in my swim platform (vertically) and am wondering if I mount the FAE to the swim platform and it's moving, will it affect the FAE?

Would it be better to have FAE modify the mounting brackets so that it mounts to the vertical bracket on the back of the boat, which would require taking out the bolts that go through the hull and replacing them with longer bolts? See second picture. I found the second picture on Planet Nautique so if you recognize your boat, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I can get to the back of the bolts from inside the boat.

You'll be fine. I installed one on my 2008 230 with the same vertical platform movement you're describing. Ran it for about 100 hours with it installed before selling the boat and never had to tighten or make adjustments. Very good purchase, you'll love it.

The rubber coupler allows for the movement.
I see my platform moving in motion but the FAE stays affixed properly.

Mine probably moves up and down 1/4” total when hitting waves etc.
