Ballast dump problem 2007 220 help

My ballast pumps work fine and fill my tanks but when I hold down my button to dump them it flashes like normal but the pumps don't cut on or anything... I just bought the boat yesterday and was aware of this but I figured I could get on here and get some insight to this problem... Is there a fuse box or anything that could cause all three not to work? I checked the breakers and they weren't tripped.

What are the gauges reading? Sometimes the wires come loose, and if reading empty the pumps will not empty. Also, the float senders could be faulty causing the gauges the read empty.

If the float slenders are the issue, unplug, insert jumper and the gauges should read full, and then you can empty. I ran that way for several years in my 06....just learned to listen for the empty sound to know when the tanks are empty

I’ve had this same problem in all of my ballast tanks. Each time replacing the sending units fixed the problem. Pretty easy to switch them out. You can find the sending units on nautiqueparts.com

zbielling did you replace the sending unit on the belly tank? I have been unable to get mine out without bending it due to clearance issues under the floor. I have unplugged and used a jumper for now. I'm wondering if a different style float I could fit in would be an option? something like:

I had to take out the middle part of the floor to get to that one. It’s been a couple years ago now but I think I had to take the screws out of the L brackets and slide the tank back toward the fuel tank to get it in.
