Looking to wire in my underwater light and was planning on using my fill button on the dash that no longer serves as button for pumps. My idea was to use relay so the power amperage from light would not be running through PME and switch...
While getting ready to do this I noticed 12v button on dash just right of steering wheel. Upon further investigation (thanks Mark) it is for adding accessory and controlling with that button. Now I’m wondering exactly what this button is rated for amperage wise? I would assume if they put a button there for the purpose of powering a plethora of different things, they would be prepared for people to hook up something pulling a little bit of amperage. Light pulls 7 amps. If I don’t have to use a relay with this switch I’d rather not, but may go ahead and do it anyways as I was prepared to. Can anyone tell me what it’s actually rated for??
