2008 sante 220 obtain keypad code

    Hi fans,

I am located in Quebec Canada and I have an unfortunate issue that I would hope someone can help me out or at least point me in the right direction. I used to have a 2002 SANTE 210 which I just sold and recently purchased a 2008 220 SANTE. I had signed a final bill of sale and provided a bank draft which paid the boat in full last Saturday on April 28th. As I was leaving with the boat I texted the seller asking for the code of the boat, I completely forgot to ask for it, and he proceeded To say that after the chequered clears by the following Wednesday I would obtain the code. I have never seen this situation before and find it very bizarre and frankly I am extremely frustrated. He promised by today to get back and no reply. I have a signed bill of sale and even provided proof that the Money was withdrawn from my account via a receipt the bank gave me. I have full copies of the bill of sale I could provide as well as proof of payment, photo ID, the hull number, serial number and pictures of the boat. I even submitted the boat licence transfer to transport Canada today. I am sitting here with a $60,000 boat and I can’t do anything with it; how can I get the code ? Can anyone help or at least point me in the right direction.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The boat has a master code that Nautique can look up and use to reset the boat. Not sure what proof you need but you'll most likely need to wait until title is officially transferred.

The seller sounds like a bit of a dock for pulling that move in the first place. There could be many reasons why he never got back to you.

My one fear is that they were not the actual owner of the boat. Hopefully not the case.

Just to be clear, contact your local dealer and explain the situation. See what proof they need to reset the code.

Thanks for the reply. The title should be transferred within 5 business days. I guess i will wait until then. If anyone else has any suggestions please let me know.
        Thanks

When I bought my old SAN through an auction I contacted Nautique directly and they were able to give me the master code. I believe I just had to give them the hull ID number. That was a few years ago now, so things may have changed but worth a call. Good luck.

That’s actually a pretty smart move by the seller ......I would have never thought of that. Not necessarily good for you as I am
aurr you wanted to fire it up and take it for a spin. I get both sides of the equation here. Probably shoulda been told before the sale this was his plan,,,,,,,But that’s a decent plan to ensure you get paid in my opinion

I would agree with that had he told me. I didn't like the fact it was last minute. I had done everything he asked to make him comfortable. I believe transparency and communication is key

Not that brilliant it's more of a jerk move. It was a bank draft and if the seller wanted something more he should have said something up front. Besides, a key pad is not going to slow down a thief when you can easily replace it.

If you look under the dash on the steering cable bar it should have it should have a sticker with the code on it, unless someone removed it.
