How do you prevent when pulling the trailer my tires are getting very hot. It is a DHM trail a single axel. The Hot PSI is 45.

Are your bearings properly lubed?? Is the brake system sticking?? Is the actuator shock absorber working??

I would check all this out as bad bearings and a brakes that fire too much will heat up the whole deal.

The wheel bearings are cold, When I drive. It is just the rubber on the outside of the tires is hot.

45 psi seems a bit low on the pressure most are 55 psi and with the lower pressure that will add to the amount of heat. if the wheel is cool as well then I wouldn't get too exicted about it, just read on the side of the tire what the max PSI is and be within 5 psi lower and your good to go.
