    Modification of G23 NCRS Plate

Has anyone tried or thought of modifying the ncrs plate on their G23. Mine (2016 with H6) has three different holes the actuator can mount to. I have tried all three positions and can not tell a difference in how the boat planes or responds. I like a long surf wave rather than steep and usually surf with ncrs set at 0 or 1. I wonder if the plate went down even more, the wave would get longer.

If and extension was added to the mounting location the plate would start further down but would extend further down as well. I also like the nose of the boat down even when cruising so it would help with that as well.

    Thoughts?

I prefer the wave longer vs steep as well. To make my G23 wake longer , I put 100 lbs of lead ballast bags on starboard bow and 100 lbs on port side bow .
it did help elongate the wake . Anyway my 2 cents

I believe you are correct. Greater deployment of the NCRS will push the stern up / and push down lengthen the wave...up to a point. You also can lengthen the wave with weight far forward in the bow. I have 300lbs there. I just have to be careful to avoid submerging the nose when crossing over my own wave.
But I also have another 600lbs (900 total) in the mid and rear to balance out the wave. I would not put 300lbs up front without this.

I have found that weight up front is better than the plate since plate tends to knock the wave down more since it does force the bow down, but also lifts up the stern. Weight will sink the bow without lifting the stern quite as much.
On my boat, I have 500lb bag under seats and then add 300-400lbs of lead in bow depending on how many people I have with me. Normally on surf days I do not have many people. Usually 3 of us

I have same boat. Where is best location (and how much weight) for lead bags?

I’m curious to see if anyone has tried modifying the NCRS attachments as well...

I didn' t modify the NCRS plate but I do have the NCRS set at 4 with the NSS on 1 at a speed of 11.5 mph for surfing. Lead bags in the following : 100 lbs port bow, 100 starboard bow, 250 lb port side observer seat( to offset prop rotation), 150 lbs mid seating behind observer seat port side, 150 lbs mid seating behind drivers seat starboard side. Great surf wake whether just driver in boat or 4 people
