    Gauges acting up?

    Hi Guys,

On my 2006 limited both the fuel gauge and the engine temp gauge are starting 2 to misbehave.

The fuel gauge doesn’t always read full anymore and I heard the temp gauge making noise before it finally kicked in and started reading again and the noise stopped.

Do theses gauges go bad over time? Boat only has 300 hours, garage kept most of the time.

    Thanks

Sounds like a possible gateway issue. Check to make sure all your plugs are pushed into the gateway fully. Thinking 06 does not have pitots, if yours does and they did not fully drain and then saw freezing temps its possible they backed up water onto the circuit board, hopefully not.

I have the paddle wheel speedo - no pitot tubes. I will confirm the connections. All other gauges are working correctly.

Do you know where the temp sender is on a Excalibur engine?

My fuel gauge started acting funky this Spring. I think the gauge is failing. Same symptoms as your temp gauge. I doubt it is a gateway issue.
