Neither surf select remote or pebble pairing - 2016 210

anybody had an issue with neither blue surf select remote or pebble pairing with LINC? Double checked firmware on pebble and put fresh battery in surf select remote but no dice on either one

was going to ask dealer to check out next time in shop but if anyone has tips to try in meantime would be appreciated

Did you try the Pebble pairing prompt on the gearing settings on your Linc in screen.?

If the Surf Select remote isn't working then the Pebble doesn't have a prayer. Something else is wrong. Do you see the little "surf select" icon in the bottom left corner of the LINC screen?

No - the icon is not there - I keep going to the menu where you pair the surf select and it says to press button - eventually it just times out...

First guess was a bad battery but since I changed that now worried it's something else...

This will describe the icon I'm talking about. If that doesn't appear, then something is wrong in the LINC.

Yeah - I have neither icon in the lower left - is that there even if the remote is not paired? My linc was delivered with the ballast timers and capacities set to stock even though I had pro ballast - wonder if the surf select option was also not activated by dealer - guess I'll give them a call

Well the dealer said it isn't an option that has to be enabled but mentioned they have had much better success pairing if the engine is running which I haven't tried so will check that out this weekend and report back!

Oh please. The engine running? Complete nonsense. Either the system has power or it doesn't.

The surf select icon will be there if it's paired or not. It should "light up" when you press the button.

Yeah I said pretty much the same but won't take much to debunk if so - also kind of figure at this point won't be fixed until i bring it back to them anyhow - they claim the surf select doesn't have to be enabled in LINC - and I do have the option of pairing , so even if it did have to be enabled seems like it is ..... it's not critical, I don't really switch sides anyhow but really liked the idea of being able to adjust speed and NSS from pebble without yelling to driver

We use the Pebble so much that nobody wants to surf without it anymore. I accidentally left it on the dock charging once and everyone voted to go back and get it!

well consider me jealous - hopefully will get this sorted shortly - perhaps the magic engine running trick will work - maybe it requires 14v to operate properly haha

The remote on the 16's had a seal issue and they corrode and go bad. It is known issue from Nautique and they will warranty them. Could be why your remote won't pair.
