    Push button breaker swap...

Anyone here ever replace the push button switches (lights, acc 1-4, bilge, etc.) on a 90s era Nautique? Wondering whats behind the panel and how hard it might be. Thinking I'd like to go to a toggle style type swap and still have the illuminated lights function. I've got one that is temperamental (interior lighting so not a big deal) but they are just hard to press in and annoying.

    Thoughts?

It's easy, man. All of the wires on the back are attached to the breakers with screws. Just replace each breaker one at a time and you'll be fine.

If you replace a breaker with a switch, be sure to add a fuse or other breaker inline, to retain the circuit protection.

It isn't hard, really, just tedious I'd say. You can get new push-style switch/breakers, and they'll work much better than the old ones.
