Changing oil on 2013 G23 w/ 450

Changed the oil in the fall last year when doing the winterize stuff in my "new to me" 2013 G23. Using my fluid extractor I was only able to get about 1.5 quarts from the dipstick tube.....did it this way several times with past boats and got out almost all the oil each time. Anyway, it bothered my OCD that I only got around 1.5 quarts out. So I did some research and decided to go with a recommendation of making a fitting for the drain line to attach to my extractor and extract it out from there. So, I made the fitting and everything is correctly connected but I cannot for the life of me get any oil to start coming out.
** Is there an on/off valve or something on the bottom of the oil pan to the drain line?? I have looked the best I can, felt with my hands (while lying on my head) around the bottom of the block/pan. I'm not feeling or seeing anything. But why am I not getting oil??? I was thinking oil should be gushing out of the drain line as soon as I unscrew the brass cap just like when pulling the drain plug from an oil pan on a vehicle. But nothing.

I use a pump as described connected to the drain hose and have had no issues. I make sure the engine is warm and the oil fill cap is removed.

You don't have to make a fitting at all. Simply slide the extractor tube down inside the oil drain hose as far as it will go.

I tried that first before spending money on fittings to make a connection and got nothing. So I thought maybe I was not getting far enough up the drain line to keep from losing suction. So I made the connection piece and still nothing. I get tired of pumping the dang pump handle!! LOL

Are you warming up the engine good first? Cold oil is not gonna want to come out as well. I used a hand pump last year and bought an extractor this Spring. IMO, using tube down dipstick tube is risky, few people have gotten it stuck down there and not easy to get out if that happens.
One note when I used hand pump....I put a clamp around it so it would not suck air....and I also opened the oil fill cap so it would vent, dont know if this has anything to do with your issue but maybe worth a mention.

Could it only have had 1 1/2 quarts in it? How many hours since last changed? You could fill it back up and recheck oil level if unsure.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll try again and see what happens. I was just curious about an "on/off valve" just cause I wasn't getting anything from the drain line. I've changed fluids in lots of vehicles/equipment for many years and never had to pump to the point I was "tired of pumping" and wasn't getting anything......and now I know it's not my extractor because I just used it to bleed brakes the other day.

I've never heard of a valve on the oil drain hose. Wasn't one on either of my Nautiques, my neighbor's G-23 or my brother's SV-211.

Yeah, there shouldn't be a valve on the oil drain hose. I have always been able to change mine by putting the extractor hose all the way up the oil drain hose and running it that way.

I think your oil drain hose at the bottom of the pan is kinked. I had the same issue on my 2016 SuperAir 210. When Nautique installs the drain hose fitting to the pan - the drain nipple/hose can be pointed any direction. They do not make an effort to direct it forward toward your bilge drain hole. My hose was too short - so I pulled on it and kinked it. No oil came out. Once we pushed the hose back a little and reached under to check for kink - we were good.
