When starting, there is a CLICK, CLICK, every time I hit the starter button. After a few tries, it starts fine. The clicking sounds like it's coming from below, from from the starter motor. The Solenoid terminals are very rusty. Was told it might be just the solenoid. The starter and the solenoid are one unit, are they not? Pull the whole starter out? I can go for a bit, its being doing this for a while but should address this soon.

It’s the solenoid. You can replace it without messing with the actual starter.
