I'm looking for some suggestions on where to look for a possiblephysical clog (or air leak?) in my cooling system. My impeller is spinning, but water isn't making it from the lake to the pump. I've checked the strainer and it's empty. It's like a proper vacuum isn't being formed which makes me think air leak, but I'm also not sure if there is a clog between the hull intake and the filter. Any troubleshooing ideas out there? Thanks in advance!

Check the strainer for a crack or a missing O ring. Check all hoses for splits and cracks. Same thing as me, I bought a used Super Sport from a smaller used dealer a couple years ago...when went on a demo ride the 1st thing i noticed was the thermostat got extremely hot (200+)...we had a spare impeller so swapped out but still heated up...was going houseboating so I took the boat anyways and i thought I would work on it...looked at everything and still heated up...then I googled it and noticed that the impeller housing could be installed 180 degrees mistakenly. not thinking that this could be an issue I decided for ****z an giggles to go ahead and rotate it...lo and behold, it stayed about 160ish while idling for awhile...took it out and romped on it and it didn't change...
