Hello Guys
Just let me introduce myself. My name is Jens and I live in Germany. I live near Frankfurt and me and my family do a lot of waterskiing in our local waterski club.
I bought a 196 Ski Nautique to teach my children waterskiing. The boat is built in 1992. It has the 351 5,8l V8 PCM otor. While reading in th e manuals I found out, that here are two different 5,8l Motor. PL&RD and PL&RP. The first one has 240 horsepower, the second one hat 285. The guy I bought the boat from told me, that the motor has 285 hp. For that reason it should be the “PL&RP”
Can anyone tell me, where I can see that? Motor number or something like this? I just want to be sure that I have the right Motor.
