Pebble NSS App won't start. Always says "Failed" and a possible solution
Good afternoon guys , i have a 2018 230 . My pebble 2 would not pair no mater what i tried. looking at the software in the pebble it was beyond the 2.9.1 Nautique
has listed. I tried down grading the software and it couldn't happen. One thing i didn't try is the pebble app itself . There is a old version and a new version. Its possible you have to first set the watch up with the old version and see if that puts in the correct soft were . Charles was such a good sole that he sent me a classic and it works perfect. Have had no issues at all. Not sure if it works the same in the other boats but i'm able to use the boat remote and the watch at the same time . Very cool. Wife uses remote and watch lets me know to counter steer.
Yes load the Pebble 2 through the Pebble app itself if it is still avail online . May have to go through Rebble now. Once loaded forget device (phone) then take watch to boat without your phone or other Bluetooth devices and synchronize with Linc system . I have 3 Pebble 2 watches with all being able to pair with Linc system with no problem .
i have a 2017 G23
Yes on all my Pebble 2 and Pebble Time all software download from Pebbke app which I have on my IPhone. In that app it has all of my Pebble watches saved. Still like the Pebble Time the best because of the graphics
When you are launching Pebble watch to Linc system
I have no problem connecting the watch to the Linc, that happens. The problem occurs when I launch the app on the Pebble, I get a error saying “Failed”. Both Pebble watches are doing the same thing. I removed the connection to my phone on one of them to see if that worked and it did not.

With the app open delete all former Pebble watches you own so it with just synchronized with your new Pebble 2 . This happen to me but I can’t remember what I did . I did remember deleting all other watch’s before I set up a new one ; not just forgetting all Bluetooth connections but deleting your prior Pebble watches from the Pebble app. You must go through this app to set up the Pebble 2. Pain the the A I know because I have been there . Hopefully the Pebble expert , Charles will chime in at some point
Well the problem you're describing here is exactly what I was seeing when I had the watch paired to the LINC and the phone at the same time. The watch itself worked fine, but as soon as I tried to start the NSS App on it, it would just say "failed" and that was it. I could never get the NSS App to start. After a bunch of misguided troubleshooting I finally figured out what was wrong.
Not sure what else to tell you here. I know you cannot have the Pebble paired with both the LINC and the phone at the same time.
I have two pebble watches. One is doing the same thing Klipper describes and the other is working fine. So far I’ve just used the one but would be good if I could get both working. I may try again today and I’ll delete them from my phone again and try pairing with my phone in airplane mode. It’s weird because this was the first of the two it tried. Does anyone know for sure if the boat can be paired to two or more watches at the same time?
Couple questions. What version do I need for a 2018 230? Where do I find the download on rebble? Once the watch is paired can you than run other blue tooth devices for music or do you plug them in to auxiliaries?
I've reset both my Pebble watches and downloaded Rebble. All is good now. I think it just needed a reset.... But I've had great success this week. BOth watched working perfectly.
The only thing That I cannot control is "next track" form the music menu. Does anybody have the same issue? I have 2 Pebble classics and when I hold down the top button.... nothing. The play/pause button works no problem. Evet other function is perfect.
You're saying you were able to reset a Pebble Classic back to factory default and then have it update and install the NSS app from the Rebble servers, right?
I'm only asking because so far, I think you're the first to do that since the switch to Rebble.

Thanks again for all the help.
Is your music device hooked up through Aux cable or Bluetooth ? If it is hooked up through Aux cable next track function will not work, only works with Bluetooth .
Glad you were able to get the watch to function through Rebble
