Squeaky noise coming from SV211 2007 when I start it cold

When I start the boat after sitting up for days, there is a squeaky noise coming from what appears to be the belt. The motor is the PCM Excalibur motor. I've read that I should spray some oil on belt, check tensioner or replace belt. Any recommendations on diagnosing the problem?

How old is the belt? They're not that expensive and not that difficult to replace. If it's old, or you don't know how old it is, then replace it.

The Nautique dealer supposedly went through the boat and serviced it before I got it. With that being said, there's no telling how old the belt is. I'll replace it and keep the other as a backup in case I have an emergency.

I have a 2004 SV211 and had the same noise awhile back. It turned out to be my water pump.

How did you determine it was the water pump?
