    PCM EX-343 Hesitation

    2008 PCM EX-343
    189 hours

    Symptoms:
Rough/Low Idle(seems low, gauge says about 525, book says it is supposed to be 650)
    Skipping/Hesitation at cruise
Bogs down at take off...have to ease into the throttle

Purchased boat in June 2017 with 170 hours on it
    Actions so far in order:
Drained fuel after purchase and filled with 89 octane non-ethanol.
    Replaced FCC Filter
    Replaced inline fuel filter
Put 20 hours on it last summer
    Replaced Distributor cap
    Change oil and oil filter
    Went to the lake yesterday

The symptoms have not changed. The boat is usable with the symptoms but I am ready to get it running smooth.

    Info:
    Idle - 525 RPMs - 158 Degrees - 38 PSI
    Idle, In gear - 500 RPMs - 158 Degrees - 45 PSI
    2900 RPMs - 25MPH - 143 Degrees - 62PSI
    4400 RPMs - 37MPH - 143 Degrees - 71PSI

Voltage is 14.3 on the gauge

What should my next step be? Thanks in advance for any help.

Based on some more research, I think I am going to change the plugs first....seems that some others have experienced this with bad/worn plugs.

your on the right track with the plugs,if that doesn't fix it, move on to the rotor and plug wires.

Same problem last year. New rotor, cap, plugs and wires. Don't honestly know what cured it explicitly, but something in that combo sure did the trick. I hadn't done any of that in 7 years so it was high time.
