I second the sealer application it holds up really well and you can layer it on pretty good. Sealer at the beginning of season and spray wax throughout. As long as you keep up with it you’ll be fine.

2 coats of Top Coat F11 sealer to start the season then Hot Sauce / 303 after each use during the season.

Do you have previous experience with Top Coat F11? Is it easy to apply?

Have been using it in my Harley for a year and on my car for about 8 months. Very easy to apply and has been working great with a very deep look. Used it on my boat in March and with just using the Hot Sauce to cleanup after use, boat still looks awesome.

Guess I am not sure I understand the benefit to the coatings since once you wax with something like Collonite Paste wax...you can easily wipe off water spots, etc using the Boat Hot Sauce/spray wax and it will also last the season (my boat is also black). Do the spots perhaps wipe off easier using "the coatings" vs wax....cause they sure cost a lot more, so hope there is a benefit. I supposed the kind of water you boat in also makes a difference, guess I am lucky and mine is not too bad here

If your boat is new ceramic coating is a breeze because the factory has already prepped the surface for you. Just use the alcohol pre cleaner followed with two coats of ceramic and you should not have to touch it for a couple years. I keep my boat in the water and the dirt and spider dropings dust off. it is far easier to apply than any wax wipe on and wipe off immediately. I buy mine from reelshine.net I use about one 50 ml bottle for 2 coats use the microswade applicator. wipe off immediately for best results.

I think the appeal of a product such as Top Coat F11 as opposed to wax is that it provides similar if not better protection, but is less time consuming and much easier to apply. At least that's what appeals to me.

A local boat detailer uses GTechniq C2V3 in place of F11. Same with a fireman friend at his station on the trucks. I have watched a few videos comparing the two, but none use boats. (gelcoat) Has anyone compared these two? Thanks.
