    ‘08 SV211TE depth gauge issue

My depth gauge reads 1.8 and doesn’t change. Started out reading correctly then would go back 1.8 now never reads anything else. Tried resetting but no change. Assume my transducer is shot. Looking around trying to find the location of the transducer. Located these 2 possibilities on either side on the bulge plug. Both have electrical connections to them. Thinking transducer and temp gauge? Thanks for any info or help locating.

It is the one on the Starboard side or left int he picture. You should be able to verify if you looked underneath and you would see the paddle wheel for the speedo. Hope this helps.

Agree after little research thanks. The darn wire is run/stuck under fuel tank. Can’t pull any extra back. Was hoping to just spice wire but not sure I can make waterproof connections. So looks like will have to run new line up to dash.

I"ve had the same problem on my 2005 sport nautique but when I changed out the transducer it didn't make any difference. Curious, when I rewired mine the transducer had 3 wires in the cable, a black, blue and a bare wire. Which ones did you connect up? In my case I copied what was there which was the bare and black with blue not used, but looking at some of the Faria documentation that indicates I should connect the blue and black and put the bare wire in with the black. In my case the wires connect up to a break-out box located at the transom.

I used the original transducer plug that went to gateway. I just cut the wire back a few inches from plug and then made connections to new transducer wire. All 3 wires blue, black and bare connected to same on plug.

My plug only has 2 wires. Didn't seem to make a difference after I made the change so likely some other problem.
