Board rack

Are my surfboards going to get beat up if I leave them in the board rack? They aren’t as durable as a wakeboard so I’m worried that the boat bouncing around might beat them up too much? First time Nautique owner btw!

We initially stored the surf boards in the rack, but found small cracks and dents in the boards starting to develop around the area of where the braces held them. I now keep them in the lockers primarily. We have the standard ‘15 board racks, maybe the new clamping racks secure and support the boards better.
