    Yes, there should. How old is the boat? On some of the old Morse throttles (i.e. MV-2) the tab that locks into place in neutral would get worn (it's pot metal) and not engage into the slot. If you disassemble the throttle you can flip the piece over and get a few more years out of it. I had to do this on my 94
