Beeping?

My 05 216 makes a beeping sound every once in a while and I don't know why. It's just a single beep that only lasts for a second or so and I don't see an error message or the check engine light coming on with it. Anyone else's make this sound?

You've probably already ruled these out...but is it:

- The perfect pass making the beep? If voltage drops before a certain level it will turn off and back on really quick...such as when starting, battery is draining low, or you turn on some high power accessory

- Depth finder?

I have a 05 196 and it has been beeping as well. It has been driving me crazy for a while as I could not find any warning lights or messages.

It only seems to happen for me when I am at low RPM and have some electronic items on like; blower fan and/or radio.

I thought it was possibly the depth finder alarm going off or some low voltage warning.

I read thru the manual this last weekend to try and find the answer. Following the menu options I ruled out that I do not have any depth finder alarms set. I could not find anything in the manual that outlined a beeping alarm other than depth finder alarm sets.

I would love to know what it is.

I had pretty much ruled out the depth finder also, as it was beeping in 140' of water. I guess it is possible that it is the PP but it does it even when it is off and I can't see it being a low voltage alarm cause when voltage is low it sends a message.

It took me a while to figure this out also....it only happened when I was on plane and then reduced the throttle, I think it was the low fuel level indicator beeping????

It is your low voltage meter. If the volts go below 12 or down to 11, it will beep. Below 11, your gauge will alarm. It could be the PP and it could be your Faria Gauge.

My 05 196 does the same thing when setting up for the slalom course. Once I pull the skier up, it goes away. I suspect SN is right in that its the low voltage warning.

Yep, my 210 did that too until I installed a larger wire between the battery and the PME box. That fixed my voltage issues, and the beep went away too.
