    Spinner Board Racks

I have seen people talk about the spinner board racks on here but I did not see anyone that had any problems. I have a brand new 210 team that has spinner racks on the tower and have been having a lot of problems with mine. They work fine till I am done with a session and start to really run the boat then after about 10 min of going about 40 mph the racks start to turn till they are basically perpendicular with the boat. Once I stop I can force the rack back into position but it takes some force to do so and I am sure it's not good for the rack. I only have two boards on the boat and have had the same problem with both racks. I don't know if both are defected or if you just can't go fast with the boards in the racks but i would think that would defeat the purpose of the racks. Anyone else have any problems or know of any problems? Or how to fix my problem?

    RE: Spinner Board Racks

I personally haven't had any problems with mine but have heard of some members on this site talk about theirs being defective.

Yea I just don't know if it's just the screws on top that need to be tightened or if it was put together wrong. I don't mind tearing them apart but i want to make sure that it's something fixable before i do it. They come with instructions but the dealership put them together when i bought they boat.

I am having the same problem with one of my racks. I asked the dealer if there was a quick fix but they didn't seem to know. They asked that I bring it in to have it checked.

        Anyone else having issues?

I'm having the same problem on one of mine. I will be taking it into my dealer soon for this problem.

I experienced the rack slipping problems you described a few months ago. After contacting CC a new set of shafts was sent to me - the shaft is the solid center part that the spinner rack body grips onto. It is my understanding that the original shafts were undersize and the o-rings inside the rack body were not able to clamp correctly. You also need to ensure that there is no grease contamination on the o-ring or shaft during your repair - this can result in rack sliding. Since this part replacement, my racks have not slipped again.

If you ride in brackish or salt water, maintaining the racks is required. Corrosion can creep through the spinner causing turning stiffness. In addition the stainless steel screws holding the cover plates in place can bind or lock into the body. We use flight clips and the spinners – salt water off a used board stored in the flight clips can conceivably allow salt water to run into the top of the spinner body.
