    Low Pressure Fuel Pump Issue

I have a 2003 Nautique 196. A technician came out and said the Low Pressure Fuel Pump has bad pressure after running the boat at about 30 mph for about 2 minutes. The boat turns on and runs fine for a bit and then starves out after a bit and slows the boat down as it seems there is not enough fuel.

I replaced the low pressure fuel pump along and am having the same issue. The relay and fuse seem to be fine as the pump hums and vibrates a bit when the boat turns on. I am not sure where to go from here.

Check fuel pressure. Your high pressure pump might be having issues as well. The low pressure supplies the volume and the high pressure supplies the appropriate pressure to the injectors. Also, have you replaced the fuel filter recently? If fuel pressure is good, then you may need to look elsewhere to air and spark.

Checked the anti-siphon and it was clogged with bugs and gunk. Fixed now. Thanks so much!

Almost for sure a mud wasp (even though they aren't wasps). Here in the South they're commonly called "Dirt Daubers."
