2016 SAN 210 Engine/Exhaust Sensor warning faults repeating

Hi Guys - I am currently on vacation and have been running the boat a lot and unfortunately have experienced five different warning fault sensors that show the engine is either overheating (>215 degrees) or an exhaust manifold overheat asking me to power down. It appears to be happening while idling and filling the ballast tanks for surfing and or just idling or in gear for a period of time. I have been inspecting the water strainer and it is clear. I have checked underneath the boat and those strainers are clear as well. When I floor the boat to get up to speed the temp goes down to 155-165. Is anyone else having this issue? It is quite frustrating and my dealer doesn’t seem to know why this could be happening. I just had the impeller replaced this past off season. Please help or provide suggestions. Not sure if there is a recall I don’t know about? Supposedly I was up on all recalls etc. Thanks!

Even though you had it replaced recently, I would visually inspect the impeller and make sure your gasket is still on your water strainer cup

Engine overheating while at or near idle usually means air leak in cooling system. Either water strainer or loose hose clamp. Most likely water strainer not sealed.

Ok thanks guys for the responses. I have tightened the water strainer as much as I can and the o-ring gasket is still there. I will check the impeller and hose clamps.

This is text book symptoms for low water flow from either a failing impeller or an air leak between the impeller and the sea water intake. I agree with others. I would visually inspect the impeller. There have been reports of premature impeller failure especially with cheaper, non-PCM brand impellers.
