    DIY Oil Changes and Warranty

Anyone know if we can do our own oil changes while under warranty?

I hear its good to keep a log (there is one in my PCM owners manual that I use), and your receipts just in case a question were to come up. I write down how many hours on the boat, the date...and keep the receipt where I buy the oil n filter. If I buy multiple filters/oil at a time, then I note that too.
Kills 2 birds with one stone.....tracks things in case of warranty, and also when you sell boat down the road, buyer will be able to see how you take care of the boat.

I do as much work myself as I am able including oil and tranny fluid changes mostly because I am picky about the filters and fluids that are used. I also keep a record of work done for future reference.

Thanks guys for the responses! I’ll go ahead and do my own. Pretty important given my dealer is 3 hrs away!
