    2006 SV211 electrical issues

New to Nautiques. I've been looking through this forum and I know there is a lot of knowledge on here. I hope someone can point me in the right direction to start. Below is a list of issues I've found on my boat. I just bought it from a guy who said it has been in dry storage for the past 3 years. Here goes..... 1. Fuel gauge and water temp guage don't work. The digital display on the tach shows hours remaining so it must be getting signal from sending unit on tank right? 2. Ballast tank guages dont work. The lights come on and i can jump across the back of the guage and make the needle jump so it has voltage to gauge. 3. Perfect pass works but LCD screen is intermittent. Sometimes when you first start the boat it will come on for about 1 minutes then fade out. If you are fast enough to set the speed before it fades it keeps Any ideas on where to start would be great. How do I check the gateway for voltage/operation? Thanks in advance for any help.

UPDATE...After about 2 hours of surfing the kids today, I looked down and noticed the fuel guage was working. A couple hours later me and the wife went for a ride and it was off again. Any suggestions on what to check first?

Those gages on the dash do go out. Start by replacing those. Also check the connection fuel gages connection at he sending unit.

The ballast gages could be a few things. First check the back to ensure the wires are tight. Those little nuts can back off. Also, check the connection tion at the sending unit and pull the sending unit it's self. I tend to just listen and watch to see when the tanks are full/empty.

My gauges have also stopped working, but will randomly turn on for a small window of time. I think its just due to age, but I know a lot of people with the same boat that have had to replace them. My ballast gauges have not worked for a few years, but I also just listen...you know they are full when water begins to pour out the sides and you can generally hear when they are empty.

Thanks for the starting place. I plan on checking all connections from gateway to gauge when I go back next weekend. Concerning the ballast tanks, does the same pump fill and empty the tanks? Reading some of the other threads on here it sounds like they reverse the impeller to empty. When I push and hold the switch on the dash the light blinks but the pump does not come on. No water flows out the side. Also, is there a way to manually trip the fuses under the helm in order to resett them in case one is stuck or weak?

Unplug at sending unit and insert jumper wire, this will allow you to empty. Likely a faulty sending unit, or nut came loose behind the gauges. Should be three pumps
