    Shaft packing question - 2017 G23

I noticed a lot of water dripping from the shaft packing under the boat this past weekend when I pulled into my garage. I looked down in bilge and didn't see any water or sign of it but I would estimate a couple of quarts of water got dumped on my garage floor. I felt the water coming out and it was very warm so I'm guessing it had to be in hull somewhere. How much is normal and is this something I need to rush to the dealer or is there anything I can check?

    Thanks!
    John

You should have a dripless shaft seal, which pulls water off the raw water circuit to lubricate the shaft. You likely just settled at different attitude once in the garage, so a little bit drained off. You didn't see evidence of water in the bilge because it didn't come from there. Nothing to worry about though.

Thanks Tom. I didn't realize they cooled it that way but it make perfect sense. Thanks again!
