Remove vinyl-covered panel on the bottom of the dash?

Anyone be able to tell me best way to remove the vinyl-covered panel under the helm? Tech told me it has push pins and to pry gently with a flat screwdriver.

Battery switch on 2016 G23 is bad and I'm going to attempt to swap it out myself. (Prefer not to wait for the local dealer's two-week availability.)

Yep, it's held on with "christmas tree" retainers. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Clipsandfaste...mas+tree+clips

I Use a plastic pry tool. Anyway as soon as you can get your fingers in there just give it a good yank!
