So I purchased a 2000 Pro Air Nautique a couple months back and after extensive overhall on the fuel & cooling systems, I have been able to take it out a couple times without any issue. However last weekend I started noticing that the front bilge pump was not turning on when I hit the button on the keypad (rear pump would turn on for a few seconds, then off).
I looked under the dash at the breaker and noticed that the switch for the bilge was sticking out so I pushed it in, then tried the bilge button again on the dash, this time it would turn on both pumps for a couple seconds, then off, at which point I would check the bilge pump breaker and noticed it was sticking out again. Ok so I have a short I thought.
I then proceeded to flip the bilge override switch that's under the dash, and both bilge pumps turned on for about 30 seconds, then the front turned off and I was not able to get it to come back on with either the keypad or the override switch.
So do I have a bad bilge pump? Or is there a short in the wiring? I'm not sure at this point, any thoughts?
