    Trans Fluid change ‘13 G23 1:48:1

Did a search and couldn’t come up with anything.

Need help with the trans fluid change procedure.

Does anyone have the procedure documented?

    2013 G23 450hp 1.48:1 transmission.

    Thanks

What I do: insert a copper tube into the dipstick / fill opening in the transmission, pump out the fluid (I included a link to the pump I use), measure how much I pumped out, put back in the same amount of DexMerc fluid, then double check the levels once I'm on the water. (I pour the fluid from the pump into a large beaker to accurately measure how much I've removed.)

I attach the plastic tubing from the pump to the copper tube that I insert into the transmission. Never put a plastic tube into the transmission--even a stiff one. Multiple members have reported horror stories of a plastic tube getting caught and ultimately breaking off inside the transmission. I forget the diameter of the copper tube, but it was the smallest diameter tubing I found at Home Depot.
A convenient clean way to drain engines with hard-to-reach plugs.
