I replaced my cable and it turns super easy but now it will turn left if im not holding on the the steering wheel? Any suggestions on how to fix this?

It is likely that the bad cable was holding the wheel in place as you drove before you replaced the cable. You probably need to adjust the tab on the rudder. Many people will set it to pull a little bit to eliminate the neutral steering, which makes it easier to pull a skier straight.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Are you talking about the tab on the actual rudder? Or on the inside of the boat?Comment

The tab on the rudder. It should pull a little in one direction, but you can adjust the tab to increase or decrease how much it does it. You should still need to lightly hold the wheel to keep it running straight. It shouldn't be hard to hold, but you do need to hold it (or brace a leg up against it).Comment
