    Steering Wheel Chatter 08-230

Wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. I have a 2008 -- 230. At times under load my steering wheel chatters pretty loud when throttling up out of the hole. The majority of the time with no ballast its ok unless I throttle up turned and not straight. When surfing and loaded it's worse. It also chatters when I throttle the boat up on the trailer. There's really no vibration in the boat. I've done the following to help other issues but it didn't help the chatter.
Prop has been taken in and checked and balanced
    Rudder and stuffing box replaced
    Steering cable replace.
Made sure the steering wheel and helm were tight

    360 hours, Acme 1579 prop, 6.0 motor.
I've had inboards do this in the past but not as bad or often as this one. Running down the lake is smooth with no vibration. The strut seems to be fine but I'm not sure about the bearing inside of the strut. It looks like it could be little worn but not sure. Was wondering if these could cause this.

The bearing in the strut worn
Shaft out of alignment although the boat runs smooth
    The prop is causing this
The steering helm needs replaced although seems smooth

    Thank you

I had the same exact problem on my old 2005 210. Totally different boat, but same exact symptoms. I bought mine new and it did it from the beginning. Never did figure it out in eleven years and 560 hours of ownership. I never thought it had anything to do with the prop. I figured it had something to do with how water passed by the rudder on takeoff. Especially if the wheel was turned at all.

Have the prop checked . Make sure your anignment is correct and cutlass bearings are good.

The prop was put in the pitch fixtures and balanced but not convinced it's not the prop. I've never checked alignment on this boat so I'll need to do that.
        Thanks for the feedback
